The Student Nurses Association (SNA) of Dr. Jeyasekharan College of Nursing organized an awareness programme on 24th October 2025 in observance of World Polio Day, aiming to highlight the importance of polio eradication and continued public health efforts.


Programme Highlights

The programme commenced at 12:15 p.m. in Lecture Hall II, with active participation from II Year B.Sc. Nursing students and faculty members. The event was compered by Ms. Kamali S. L., II Year B.Sc. Nursing.

The session began with a prayer song by the II Year B.Sc. Nursing students, followed by a welcome address delivered by Ms. Athirai M. S., II Year B.Sc. Nursing, who warmly greeted the participants.

An informative PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Ms. Angelisa M., Ms. Karthika R., and Ms. Ashika D., II Year B.Sc. Nursing students. The presentation focused on:

  • The significance of World Polio Day
  • The importance of polio eradication efforts
  • The need for continued awareness and immunization

The session was well received, with students actively engaging and expressing positive feedback.


Conclusion

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Joe Jerusha J., II Year B.Sc. Nursing, expressing appreciation to all participants and organizers.
