NATIONAL DENGUE DAY – 2025

Theme: “Act Early, Prevent Dengue: Clean Surroundings, Healthy Living”

National Dengue Day was observed on 16th May 2025 at Dr. Jeyasekharan Medical Trust through a program organized by B.Sc. Nursing IV Year and DGNM III Year students. The session aimed to raise awareness on dengue prevention and the importance of maintaining clean surroundings.

The program began with an introduction by Ms. Gayathri (DGNM III Year). A detailed health talk was then presented by Ms. Gopika and Ms. Mumthaj Saireen (B.Sc. Nursing IV Year) using a PowerPoint presentation to explain causes, symptoms, preventive measures, and the role of community participation in reducing dengue.

To reinforce learning, a quiz competition was conducted by Mrs. Sujitha, Staff In-Charge. Students actively participated, and winners were awarded gifts as encouragement.

Participants

A total of 21 students attended the program, gaining adequate knowledge and awareness on dengue prevention and control.

The program was interactive and informative, equipping students with both knowledge and motivation to spread awareness on dengue prevention in the community.
