TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION – 2024 – College of Nursing

Teacher’s Day 2024 was organized and conducted by the Student Nurses Association (SNA) on 5th September 2024 at 3:00 pm in the college auditorium. The celebration was attended by B.Sc. Nursing and DGNM students along with faculty members of Dr. Jeyasekharan College of Nursing.

The program began with a prayer song by the College Choir, followed by a welcome address from Ms. Kamali (B.Sc. Nursing I Year). A special Teacher’s Day message was delivered by Dr. Sarayu Priya, Principal, who highlighted the significance of the day and inspired students through her motivational address.

Student Performances & Events

  • Debate: Organized by B.Sc. Nursing III Year students on “Artificial Intelligence vs. Traditional Learning,”reflecting the evolving role of teachers and the responsibilities of students in education. The symposium concluded with remarks from the moderator.
  • Mime: Performed by B.Sc. Nursing I Year students, showcasing the various roles of teachers.
  • Role Play: Enacted by B.Sc. Nursing II Year students.
  • Fusion Dance: Performed by B.Sc. Nursing IV Year students.
  • Group Song: Dedicated by DGNM II Year students to their teachers.
  • Dance Performance: Presented by B.Sc. Nursing III Year and DGNM II Year students.
  • Special Song: Dedicated by B.Sc. Nursing I Year students.
  • Video Dedications: A special video presentation from students and greetings from the first batch of graduated students shared online.

The Master of Ceremony was handled by Ms. Aarthi (B.Sc. Nursing IV Year). The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Allen Reshmiya (DGNM I Year).

The Teacher’s Day celebration was lively and heartfelt, filled with performances, dedications, and gratitude, making it a memorable occasion for the faculty and students alike.
