World Tuberculosis Day is observed globally to raise awareness about tuberculosis and to call for united efforts to end the disease.
On 26th March 2024, Dr. Jeyasekharan College of Nursing, in collaboration with the TB Department, Aasaripallam, conducted an awareness program based on the theme “Yes! We can end TB!”
The program began with a welcome address by Ms. Anishya A. Faculty from the TB Department, Aasaripallam, along with their team, delivered an informative PowerPoint presentation. The session provided valuable insights and updates on the recent trends related to tuberculosis.
Following this, a TB Day Pledge was recited by the students together with the visiting team, reaffirming their commitment to the fight against TB. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a B.Sc. Nursing III Year student.
The program was impactful, enhancing awareness among students and strengthening the call to action for eliminating tuberculosis.
