World Down Syndrome Day, observed annually on 21st March, was commemorated at Dr. Jeyasekharan College of Nursing on 22nd March 2025 as part of the SNA activities. The program aimed to raise awareness about Down Syndrome and emphasize inclusion, care, and support for individuals with the condition.
The session began at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Jeffrey Daniel (B.Sc. Nursing V Semester) as the Master of Ceremony. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Beni (B.Sc. Nursing V Semester).
A PowerPoint presentation on World Down Syndrome Day was delivered by Ms. Abisherin and Ms. Selvin Benishiya (B.Sc. Nursing V Semester), followed by a briefing on the significance of the day by Mrs. Jeba Shalini, Professor.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Jegan Lal (B.Sc. Nursing V Semester).
