World Asthma Day is observed annually on the first Tuesday of May. The theme for 2024 was “Make Inhaled Treatments Accessible for ALL,” emphasizing the importance of ensuring that people with asthma can access inhaled medications, which are essential both for disease control and for managing acute attacks.
An awareness teaching program was conducted on 6th May 2024 in the hospital campus to educate the public on asthma care. The program commenced at 10:00 a.m. with a brief introduction by Dr. Joseph Pradeepan, Pulmonologist.

Health education was presented through a PowerPoint presentation in the General OPD by II Year DGNM students, under the supervision of Mrs. Arul Sheeha A., Nursing Tutor and Mrs. Nisha, Nursing Tutor.
